Upgrading JAVA Version

First check whether the instance is UP or DOWN (The Target instance where you are going to upgrade the java version)

It is mandatory that the target instance should be in UP state when you are going to upgrade the JAVA Version.

[root@server2 ~]# cd /usr/java/
[root@server2 java]# ls

You will find the rpm package as follows
jdk-1.6.0_26-fcs.i586.rpm
jdk-1_5_0_08-linux-i586.rpm

Install the rpm package using the following command
[root@server2 java]# rpm –ivh <rpm file name>

After the installation has finished
Connect to winscp as the target’s application user and navigate to the following path to find the CONTEXT_FILE

For 11i: $APPL_TOP/admin and find the .xml file

For R12: $APPL_TOPl/admin/ and find the .xml file

Now open the ndev_oraapps.xml file and replace all the occurrence of the old version with new one as follows

Find: /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_08
Replace: /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_26
Now save the file and exit the winscp
Now run the autoconfig file.

REP-3000 Issue is very common in Oracle Apps environments. If this issue persists, concurrent programs will complete with error code(Whose output is in PDF format). In my environment we are having EBS(12.2.5) running with 12.1.0.2 database. One day in our DEV Instance  Front-End is not opening and faced the below error. So I followed the below steps as a solution and it worked. First, generate the JAR files Next, reload the generated jar files to the respective database  Now compile the APPS schema to reduce the count of Invalid objects.
